image001 Building System

Description:

PanelForm Building System consists of panels that interlock to create permanent formwork. Each panel is 600 x 1200 mm, weighs 4.5 has two faces: a smooth face, which forms the outer surface of the kg, and structure, and a ribbed face with prongs. When creating a wall, panels are positioned with their prongs overlapping, and metal rods are run through the prongs to hold the panels in place. In addition to this, the panel’s periphery is designed with an interlocking male-female button system which is used to snap panels together to form a continuous surface.

Construction:

After the panels are interlocked and secured with reinforcing steel rods (per engineer’s detail) concrete can be poured into the cavity. Recommended pouring height is 2.4 meters. It is not necessary to render or paint the outer surface after the concrete has been poured.

Vibrating :

PanelForm ; walls can be vibrated, just like conventional formed walls. The upper surface of the PanelForm ; wall provides access for a vibrator to be placed inside the cavity. Side wall vibrators can also be used. In many cases only a rubber mullet is required.

Wall Thickness :

120-160 mm. However, thicker walls can be achieved by using steel mesh or manufactured spacers to obtain the desired width.

Plumbing and Electrical:

During the assembly process, all the services (such as electrical, plumbing, and data) are placed and secured within the internal cavity. After the wall is poured, the wiring is fed through the conduits.

Product Composition:

PanelForm ; can be made from a variety of materials, thousands to choose from. Most current projects are using high impact polystyrene (HIPS). UV stability and flame retardant agents can also be added. PanelForm ; can also be made from aluminium or other metals by using casting technology.

Finishes:

PanelForm ; may act as the finished surface, with the desired colour and texture: its snug and accurate alignment results in only fine line delineation between adjacent panels, creating an aesthetically pleasing finish. Consequently, panels can be ordered in any colour and in a variety of textures. In addition to this, panels can be over-moulded with steel or stone to produce unique and elegant structures engraved with art design trademark or slogan.

Applications:

PanelForm ; is a very versatile product with a myriad of application. It can be used to build retaining walls, factories, multi-story buildings, columns, roofs, slabs, dams, bridges, crash barriers, swimming pools, floating structures, water tanks, silos, shafts, tunnels, piping, canals, suspended ceilings, partitions etc.  Anyone using PanelForm ; will quickly find more applications.

PanelForm ; and the Environment:

PanelForm ; is environmentally friendly: it can be made from recycled plastics; it eliminates the need to destroy forests for timber boards and frames; and the energy required to heat or cool a PanelForm ; house is significantly less than the energy required to heat and cool conventional homes.

Advantages:

Vermin Proof : PanelForm ; structures are unaffected by termites and resistant to infestation by vermin such as rats and cockroaches.

Water Resistant : PanelForm ; is water resistant, so there is no need for an additional waterproofing membrane and associated protection.

Cost Effective : Not only is PanelForm ; price competitive, but is also dramatically reduces construction time. Panels are easily and quickly snapped together, so preparation is minimal. A large amount of time is also saved in relation to the formwork stripping process: PanelForm ; eliminates the formwork stripping process. Therefore, the use of PanelForm ; will lead to increased productivity.

Strong: The PanelForm ; building system produces a strong, integrated structure that is less susceptible to damage from natural disasters (earthquakes, tornados, cyclones, and hurricanes) compared to conventional building systems.

PanelForm ; structures provide the safety of a bomb shelter.

Adaptable : PanelForm ; building system is extremely adaptable. PanelForm ; structures do not need to be filled with concrete. Suitable fillings include mud, clay, rocks etc. Structural walls can be achieved with a combination of concrete columns and any of these alternative materials. Panels that have been filled with clay or mud are reusable. Most importantly, PanelForm ; installation does not require skilled labour. This makes it an ideal building system for developing nations.

Code: PanelForm ; is certified as a thermal water proofing membrane Part 1.2.2 of the BCA.

Availability: PanelForm ; can be shipped to any capital city worldwide.

Engineering: There are no special engineering requirements for a PanelForm ; building system; they are same as the requirements for conventional structures. However, PanelForm ; does provide some engineering advantages. Since PanelForm ; structures are fully integrated and all structural components (walls and slabs) are self-supporting, dead weight is eliminated. This means that thinner walls and slabs can be designed, with larger spans between columns. In addition to this, beams become unnecessary. Consequently, a lot of time and money can be saved in concrete and steel.
